By joining the ICF Gauteng Chapter, you partner with a federation established in 1995. The ICF core purpose is to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching. As the leading global coaching organization, the ICF is working toward this goal by setting high standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches.

Professional Networking – The ICF Gauteng Chapter provides a venue for meeting other local coaches and sharing insights, ideas, best practices, etc.
Education Opportunities – The ICF Gauteng Chapter provides invaluable education to member coaches through monthly seminars and events. Chapters can apply to the ICF for Continuing Coaching Education (CCE) credit for their events, whereby attendees receive credit toward the earning or renewal of an ICF credential.
Increased Visibility of Coaching in Your Community – With the assistance of the ICF, the ICF Gauteng Chapter has the opportunity to increase the visibility of the coaching profession in their community through marketing and public relations. By increasing awareness of the coaching profession, you will also be increasing the demand for qualified coaches.

Strategic Alliances – It is the intention of the ICF Gauteng Chapter to form strategic alliances within their community where coaches can visit other professional organizations’ meetings and other professionals can visit local ICF Chapter meetings.
Shared Ethics & Standards – ICF coaches subscribe to an internationally recognized philosophy of coaching and code of ethics. ICF coaches are subject to an ethical review process, including an objective investigation, follow-up and disciplinary action, should a concern be reported. A list of the ICF’s ethical guidelines and standards is available on the ICF website.
