As the Gauteng Chapter is the ICF, we are driven by our vision of:

We are inviting you to be part of realizing this vision in 2012 and being part of our professional community of coaches, by renewing your Chapter membership.

Our new membership system is in place and we would like to confirm that the details we have for our current members are up to date. ICF Gauteng Chapter Fee Structure for 2012

The International Coach Federation (“ICF”) charges an annual membership fee, which is currently $195. The Chapter Executive is mindful of the fact this equates to quite a large amount of money in Rand terms. This fee has to be paid directly to the ICF. For full details of the payment process please refer to the ICF website.

To cover the costs of holding events an ICF Chapter in turn has to charge a fee. It is not defined as a membership fee but rather as a event chapter fee.

To become a member of the Chapter you need to complete the Chapter membership application and make the Chapter fee payment .

To cater for the various categories of membership, the Chapter Executive has agreed the following  four tier fee structure for 2011:

The four tier fee structure is as follows:

TIER 1: ICF GLOBAL MEMBERS If you are a registered and paid up member of the ICF, the Chapter Event fee for the year is R750.00. When paying your fee please advise us of your ICF membership number. There is an early Bird Chapter fee of R 500 if you pay before the 31st January 2011.

TIER 2: NON ICF GLOBAL MEMBERS If you are not a global member of the ICF, the Chapter Event fee for the year is R 1,500.00. It is an ICF requirement that in order to belong to an ICF Chapter you need to become a member of the Global ICF within 6 months of joining the Chapter. The Chapter executive has waived this requirement for 2011 given that the Chapter is still in its start up phase. However, from January 2012, it will be a requirement that all non ICF global members become global members of the ICF, if they wish to remain a member of the Chapter.

TIER 3: ICF COUNTRY MEMBERS Given that the Gauteng Chapter is the only active Chapter in South Africa at present, we welcome the participation of all ICF coaches in our Chapter. To encourage participation of the coaching community who are not in Johannesburg, we have implemented the concept of country membership. This means that if you are a registered and paid up member of the ICF, and live more than 100km from Johannesburg, the Chapter  fee for the year is only R100.00. Country members will also have to pay an event fee when they attend Chapter events of R 50 per event. When paying your fee please advise us of your ICF membership number.

TIER 4: NON ICF OR CHAPTER MEMBERS If you are neither a member of the ICF nor the Chapter, an Event fee of R 250.00 per person attending the event will be charged, with their first event being free. No one may attend more than 6 Chapter events without then becoming a member of the Chapter.

NB All interested parties may attend their first Chapter event free of charge. The Chapter event fee will entitle each member to attend at least six events free of charge.

We will hold at least 10 events a year, and will only charge an additional event fee should we arrange a guest speaker at the request of the members, which results in additional cost for the Chapter. If not, all 10 events will be included in the Chapter Event fee paid. Most of the meetings will grant you CCEU’s which can be used for ICF certification or renewal purposes.
